LINKS is an inclusion based program that implements academic, executive/organizational, pragmatic (social), and coping strategies and supports across grades 5-8. Students are taught explicit skills, provided opportunities to practice learned skills, supported in learning to transfer their skills withing the general education setting, and given opportunities to generalize their acquired skills in various settings.
The LINKS instructional paraeducator provides academic support for the student membership in the general education classroom and in small group sub separate activities. The ideal candidate is a true team player presenting with a patient, compassionate and caring personality profile.
