The Braintree Public School District is looking to hire teachers for the Literacy 
Academy for rising 1st grade, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. The Academy is a week-long program that runs from August 5th to August 9th. The Academy will consist of three classes per grade level with 10-12 students in each class. The Academy
day runs from 8:30-1:30 and includes 4 hours of literacy instruction and at least 1 enrichment
class per day. Teachers will be given the autonomy to create lessons based on the needs of
their students. As the Academy is funded through a state grant, teachers will receive a $3000
stipend which accounts for preparation, assessing, and teaching time.
